"Carols
in the Park":
Boulder Promotions will once more be celebrating Christmas with “Carols
in the Park”. This annual event is being held in Loopline Park,
Hamilton Street Boulder on Wednesday 16th December.
There will be FREE merry-go-round rides and Candy the Clown will be
painting the faces for FREE, courtesy of the Rotary Club of Boulder.
There will also be ice-creams, fairy floss, sausage sizzle & cool
drinks for sale from 6pm, and the Palace Theatre mob will have “Glow
in the Dark” candles and novelties for sale.
Santa is scheduled to appear at 7.00pm and will be giving lollies to
the kids. Veils of Gold will be performing at 7.30pm and Stage Left
will be leading the carols which will commence at 8.00pm and will last
for approximately one hour. So come along and have a relaxing night
out in Boulder.

City
of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Archives:
The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder
Archives are on the move! As from Friday 4th December, they will be
housed in the Boulder Town Hall. The resources available include the
WA Index to Births 1841 - 1905, the WA Index to deaths 1841 - 1980,
the WA Index to Marriage 1841 - 1965 and the WA Pioneers Index 1841
- 1905, and the WA Legislative Assembly Roll (Electoral Rolls) Kalgoorlie
1904 - 1992 for the East Coolgardie Region, and 42 newspapers on microfilm,
including the Kalgoorlie Miner, the Western Argus, the Goldfields Morning
Chronicle and the Coolgardie Miner. The archives also hold a large amount
of reading material on the history of the Goldfields region.
The Archives will be open Tuesday to Saturday from 9am – 12noon,
and also 3pm - 5pm on Thursday. The Goatcher Curtain will still be able
to be viewed at those and also until 3pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
and 9.30am until 1.00pm Boulder Marketday.
SLAY (Stage Left Acting Youth):
An oversized potato
creates mayhem in a local school when some students
succumb to its effects and have to be quarantined in their classroom!
Stuck at school! No parents! Is this the best thing that's ever happened
to them, or the worst? To find out more, come and see the kids from
SLAY (Stage Left Acting Youth) in their hilarious play "School
Under Siege" - the theatre group's finale
performance for 2009.
Tickets are only $10 adults and $5 for kids and the show is on Saturday
December 12th. Doors open 6pm, show starts 6.30pm. For ticketing inquiries

Golden
Mile Orchards Returning:
Golden Mile Orchards will be returning to Boulder on Saturday 19th December
and will be situated in the vacant block next to the Palace Theatre
in Burt Street. This will enable Joe Licciardello to sell his fruit
directly to the public on Saturday, Sunday & Monday. If all goes
to plan, they will be bringing pinklady apples, grannysmith apples,
packham pears, valencia oranges, mango's, bananas, cherries, peaches,
apricots, potatoes, onions, carrots and hopefully nectarines & plums.
Look for the sign in Burt Street.

Boulder Markets 20th December:
The
Rotary Club of Boulder will be combining with Boulder Promotions on
the 20th December to bring some Christmas cheer to the Goldfields. They
will be manning a chocolate wheel and a ham wheel from 9.00am in Loopline
Park. They will also arrange for Father Christmas to make an appearance
at the markets at 11.30am so bring the kids along to meet him. So if
you haven’t finished your Christmas shopping, come to the markets
and see what you can find
There will be FREE tours of the Boulder Town Hall provided by the Eastern
Goldfields Historical Society commencing at 10am and also FREE Super
Pit Tours provided by KCGM. Both are on a first come first served basis
so don’t miss out!!!
