Street
Performers in Boulder:
The Boulder Markets came alive in June with Mr Hardyhaha performing
in the park. This month we will be bringing in Super Being who is a
gigantic alien who is coming to explore Boulder and conduct experiments
on the human race. From a solar system beyond our galaxy, this larger
than life Cyber-beast is on a research mission to discover more about
the curious creatures known as earthlings.
There will be three performances, with the first one commencing in Burt
Street at 9.45am. The Goldfields Brass Band will be playing in Burt
Street at 10.30, 11.30 & 12.30 and the Veils of Gold Belly Dancing
Troupe will be shimmying at 11.00am
Mystic Music will be singing up a storm in Loopline Park from 9.00am
and Super Being will be exploring the park at 11.00am so come along
and join in the fun.

Chance to Win $100
Check out the Kalgoorlie Miner on the first Saturday of the month for
your chance to win $100.00 in Boulder bucks. The miner statue will be
hidden in one of the advertisements, so cut it out and attach to the
coupon and drop of to Boulder’s Leading Edge Video or the Miner
office in Hannan Street. It couldn’t be easier. Last month’s
winner was Elvie Torpy.

And we may even encourage them to bring Korker Roo to the Park again.
Stage Left Theatre Troupe:
Stage
Left Theatre Troupe members are ecstatic to announce that their grant
for the Royalties for Regions grant for $130,000 has been successful.
The funding will go a long way towards the Troupe members being able
to finalise the purchase of their beloved Barracks at 61b Burt Street,
ensuring they become a permanent part of the Boulder landscape.
The announcement came during the weekend of their hugely successful
production The Sound of Music, which combined the talents of some 111
people on stage, back stage and behind the scenes making the four performances
a smash hit. Over 1600 people attended at the Goldfields Arts Centre.
Coming up next on the ever-busy Stage Left calendar are: Improvisational
theatre classes and "jam" nights, Shaxmen sessions (looking
at Shakespeare), the touring one act plays season, a new term of workshops
for SLAY (Stage Left Acting Youth) and plans for a stagecraft retreat.
There's always something happening at Stage Left, and new members are
always welcome. To find out more email stagleft@wowkal.com or phone
president, Lisa van Oyen on 0439 091 391.
